The building cooperative ABZ, Kraftwerk 1, Senn Resources AG, Grün Stadt Zürich and the Amt für Hochbauten der Stadt Zürich were awarded the contract for the four project competitions of partial perimeters A, B, C and Quartierpark of the Koch Area. Around 340 non-profit apartments for 900 people, commercial areas and a public quarter park are now to be built on the Koch site, all according to the "2000-watt society". The City of Zurich acquired the site from UBS AG in 2013. The winning projects for the three buildings and the Quartierpark are now available. We were able to support seven architectural offices in this competition with our architectural visualizations.
Enclosed our images for pool architects, who were able to win 4th place for construction site C.
For the competition for the new ewl site, the city of Lucerne, the abl, general building cooperative Lucerne, and the ewl have invited tenders for a new security and service centre including apartments. The area is to become a mixed and sustainable showcase quarter for living, working and leisure. We were able to support a total of 4 planning teams with our visualizations.
Enclosed are our images for the planning team of Burkard Meyer Architects together with Anliker AG Generalunternehmung, Gruner Berchtold Eicher, Künzle Partner, Arregger Partner, HEFTI, HESS, MARTIGNONI Zürich, Vogt Landschaftsarchitekten, Emch+Berger WSB.
BHSF Architekten made it with our visualizations to the 3rd rank (for urban planning and park) and 6th rank (for living) in the competition "Viererfeld/Mittelfeld Bern" in Switzerland, in which 26 international planning teams took part.
With this ranking the architects from Zurich will be also involved in the construction of this new part of of Bern.
Congrats from our side as always made with hand & heart in Zurich.

Looking into the office server of nightnurse images, one finds a folder named "testrender", a digital dumpster containing virtual models of imagined enviroments. The data contained in each file describes the precise arrangement of objects, mathematical calculations of lights, properties of materials and many more layers of information that constitute the content necessary to create a convincing visual representation of commissioned projects. As files pile up, the amount of data gets bigger, cheap and disposable as it may be, takes up space, clogs up data channels and must thus be maintained and cleaned up on a regular basis.
Relics is based on a small set salvaged from this temporary storage. The models - built and used for architectural projects earlier this year - are discarded by-products of an all digital production process. Taken out of context and stripped of their charactersitic materials, the projects are cast in homogeneity, questioning the way architecture is visually represented on many platforms from local competitions to entertainment industry.
The same data is used to produce the five images, by re-articulating and combining differnet elements in the digital image production process, from multi-dimensional coordinate data to color and pixel values. The following set of digital operations were performed on the data:

Case Study - hand drawn sketches, Zürich
Nightnurse Images GmbH, 16.000
Occasionally we receive requests for images in a more hand-drawn, abstract style. We conducted this study on architectural visualizations that have the look and feel of architect's sketches as an internal project. The results were used in several projects later on.
